This weekend, my sister and I attended a French themed dinner at my friend's place. To follow the Beef Burgundy which was the main course, I decided to make French macarons. Originally, I had planned to to rose and cardamom macarons, but then I got Pierre Herme's newsletter announcing the new flavor of the month: Rose Vanilla Clove. How exciting! I was so happy to see that Pierre and I were thinking along the same lines (proof that great minds think alike), that I decided to switch from cardamom to clove, in his honour:
Rose-Vanilla Bean-Clove Macarons, lightly tinged peachy pink and topped with rose petals - all biologique. Sigh....
